01 Respect, always
- Treat fellow members, and the public, with basic respect — no harassment, threats, or abuse.
- No discrimination or hateful conduct on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or anything else.
- Disagreements happen. Handle them like an adult — no personal attacks, no dogpiling, no dragging internal disputes into public spaces.
02 Stay inside the law
- Null operates within the law. That doesn't change because the target is a scammer, a fraudster, or someone the public would call a bad actor.
- We're not vigilantes. Our job is to investigate, document, and hand evidence to law enforcement — not to punish, expose, or take action ourselves.
03 Protect the people in the data
- Case and evidence data is handled through official Null channels only — never copied out, screenshotted, or shared elsewhere.
- No doxxing. Not of a scammer, not of a victim, not of anyone — publishing someone's private information as punishment or "exposure" is not something Null does.
- Victims are people who've already had a bad experience. Treat anyone you interact with through a case accordingly.
04 Confidentiality
- Ongoing investigation details stay inside Null and, where relevant, law enforcement — not on social media, not in Discord servers, not to friends "off the record."
- If you're unsure whether something is safe to share, don't share it — ask an admin first.
05 Representing Null
- When you're speaking as Null — in public, to press, to a platform, to anyone outside the team — keep it professional. It reflects on everyone.
- Don't claim authority to speak for Null, or make commitments on its behalf, unless you've actually been given that authority.
06 Reporting a concern
If another member's behavior breaks this code, or you're not sure whether something does, tell us. Email report@null-ops.org. Reports are taken seriously and handled discreetly.
07 Consequences
This code isn't a suggestion. Breaking it — especially the legal boundaries in section 02 — can mean anything from a warning to immediate removal from Null, depending on how serious it is.
